Injured on the job? We can help.

Whether you realize it or not, your job comes with some level of risk for physical injury. Even if you work a desk job that requires you to sit in a cubical all day, you could develop chronic back or neck pain if your chair is not ergonomic, or if your posture is not consistently perfect. However, there are some jobs that simply carry a greater risk of injury than others. Accidents happen all the time in the workplace, and if such an accident occurs in one of these higher-risk jobs, the results could be devastating.

The construction industry is often the go-to example when it comes to dangerous occupations, but there are plenty of other jobs that come with a level of risk, such as factory work or even office jobs. You could be walking from your car to your office on a cold day after it has recently rained, and a simple misstep could cause you to slip and slam your head into the ground, which could cause serious brain damage.

It may surprise you, especially since nobody would technically be at fault in such a situation, but you would almost certainly be able to recover compensation for such an injury. Workers’ compensation benefits exist for the sole purpose of providing financial assistance to workers who are injured on the job, either through accident, occupational hazard or even sometimes horseplay.

No matter what the circumstances, no matter the level of risk with your job, if you have suffered an injury in the line of duty, you should take advantage of your workers’ compensation benefits. If you are unsure of how to do so, or if you received compensation that you believe is too low to fully compensate your injuries, please visit our website. We have an in-depth understanding of New York workers’ compensation laws, and we can help you take full advantage of them.
