Biography
Andrew R. Schimler has been a practicing attorney since 2010. He is licensed to practice law in both the State of New York and the State of Florida. Mr. Schimler graduated from Albany Law School in 2009 where he focused in the area of estate planning. He regularly practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, and has experience drafting documents including but not limited to wills, irrevocable trusts, revocable trusts, living wills, healthcare proxies, and deeds. In addition, Mr. Schimler is well versed in the Surrogate's Court Procedure Act, as well as the Estates, Powers, and Trusts Law (E.P.T.L.). During his legal career, he has appeared in New York City Civil Court, New York State Supreme Court, and New York State Surrogate's Court. Prior to joining the Estate Planning and Elder Law department at Angiuli & Gentile, LLP, Mr. Schimler worked at a boutique trusts and estates firm based in Manhattan. His guiding philosophy is to simplify complex legal concepts for clients and help every client create and implement an estate plan that fits their personal situation.
